Spencer Matthews was one of its stars Made in Chelseahaving starred in the show since the first series.
But the TV star admitted being linked to the E4 reality show still gives him chills as he is so different now.
“I absolutely hate being mentioned in the same breath Made in Chelsea,” he said The times. “The king cannot bear it. It is so shameful. I was a child.”
Spencer left Made in Chelsea in 2015 to appear I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here. He now hosts a podcast with his wife Vogue Williams, with whom they share children Theodore, Gigi and Otto.
While on the show, Spencer was known for his bad-boy persona, at one point telling then-girlfriend Louise Thompson, “It’s very hard for me to respect you when you let me cheat on you.”
“I was young and ill-informed and a bit stupid,” he said of his time on the show.
Spencer has previously spoken out about the structured reality show, calling it “fake”.
“I always watched Made in Chelsea As a business, that’s how it deals with drama,” he told Dr Alex George’s Stompcast podcast. “Her commodity is drama. Without drama, there is no work. And that’s how we’ve seen it work.
“It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, they’re going to follow us around in our daily lives’. It was, ‘Get up at 8.30, we’re going to mic you up, we’re going to give you a briefing, and then you’re going to say this,’ right. And it’s like, okay.”
He added: “So it was kind of like that, it became a lot less authentic over the years. I loved it at first and then when things felt too scripted. It was less interesting because obviously as much as I’d like to be an actor, I wasn’t being paid to act.
“Well, I kind of thought well, this doesn’t feel real to me anymore, so I’m not that excited by it anymore. And like I said, record drama. So drama, drama, drama. I don’t think anyone likes living a dramatic life.”
