We also hear the voice of Zelda, who worries that Link may not be strong enough to stop this threat and prays for the strength to resist.

Between that and all the scary monsters, this one seems like the darkest Legend of Zelda game we’ve had since Majora’s mask.

Fortunately, the game’s release date hasn’t changed. Tears of the Kingdom will still be released May 12.

Nintendo also announced a physical collector’s edition of the upcoming game, which comes with a SteelBook case, an official artwork book, a poster, and what looks like small pins or badges.

Pre-orders are currently taking place, but at the time of writing, the Nintendo UK website is not loading due to heavy traffic.
